Project Manager (Information Technology)

Based at our Corporate Office in Singapore, we are looking for a passionate and energetic individual to join us as Project Manager (Information Technology).


Job Responsibilities:

The incumbent will manage all aspects of technologies implementation for new builds, major renovation of existing properties in accordance to the established procedures issued by the Management and the industries best practice processes. He / She has to ensure that the service delivery meets the operational needs of the properties and maintains professional relationship with the product vendors to keep up the Service Level Agreements.


The Role:

  • Assist to implement short, medium and long term IT strategic plans within all Pan Pacific Hotels Group Hotels and Pan Pacific Hotels Group Corporate Office.
  • Assist in the planning and presentation of possible system acquisitions of strategic systems that will have a positive impact on future business performance.
  • Assist in the implementation of a creative and innovative multi-system network strategy for Pan Pacific Hotels Group to ensure fundamental business objectives are met whilst working within Owner IT budget constraints.
  • Assist the Vice President of IT in the relationship management of the companies various vendors and ensure all vendors meet contractual requirements.
  • Oversee all Firewalls and any other appropriate security mechanisms, and ensure these are maintained to standards considered appropriate for the protection of Pan Pacific Hotels Group or our business partners.
  • Assist in of reviewing of relevant proposals for expenditure including Capital Expenditure and operational financing in respect of Information Technology projects for all business units as required to ensure all approved projects are successfully implemented.
  • Implement and translate company IT strategy and blueprint into tangible technology deployment models for new properties coming into the Pan Pacific Hotels Group portfolio and match the business needs of Pan Pacific Hotels Group with the necessary operating equipment to deliver product and service.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of technology based projects across the group and ensure that technology deployments are delivered in line with investments.
  • Consult and recommend investments in integrated technology solutions to the owners of new properties and equip operations with the necessary technology to facilitate operational efficiencies and competitive advantages through technology.
  • Develop and deploy suitable infrastructure to support the immediate and longer term operations of new properties and maintain a long term viability of technology investments on behalf of the owner.
  • Provide technical services expertise in relation to the development of new assets prior to opening of a property or for existing assets.
  • Maintain professional relationship between the property and the Vendors with regards to the SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and Service Delivery.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Vice President of IT.

The Person:

  • Degree/Diploma in Computer Science / Information technology.
  • Possess operational management knowledge and direct working experience of the Hospitality industry in a line or management position.
  • Direct experience with the current technology benchmarks and best practice such as convergence, GPON, networking, ITIL and Asset Management processes and help desk processes.
  • In-depth understanding of the application of technology to a hotel operating environment.
  • Able to perform business planning and have a proven track record of successfully implementing that plan within an equivalent organisation.
  • Possess Project Management Professional certification offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
  • Possess good communication skill, ability to access risk accurately and able to navigate tough situations and make difficult decisions based on needs of the business.
  • Able to communicate effectively with the head of IT, technical experts / consultants, hotel management and constantly advise on technological changes that may impact the hotel business plans both positively and negatively.
