Director, Development

Based at our Corporate Office in Singapore, we are looking for a passionate and energetic individual to join us as Director, Development.

Job Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Vice President, Growth and Development, the incumbent will support the development effort by both assisting development team and senior management as well as undertaking self-initiated efforts to source and negotiate suitable properties to our portfolio. This position will also focus on development marketing such as presentations and marketing activities such as influencer forums, conferences and other like activities.

The Role:

Business Development

  • Identify and negotiate hotel management contracts for new development projects and reflagging of existing properties;
  • Cultivate effective business network and alliances to facilitate lead flow on new business opportunities;
  • Assist development effort by researching market with the intention of generating leads
  • Follow up with potential new properties as directed.

Development Marketing

  • Assist in the coordination of marketing activities i.e. influencer forums, investor conferences, seminars, etc.
  • Assist with all necessary initiatives to establish our brand image and strong customer recognition for our two hotel brands.
  • Assist development effort administratively, particularly in the preparation of models, presentations, contracts and collateral.

Management Support and Reporting

  • Assist with the preparation of the annual business plan & budget and monthly business reports
  • Assist technical services team as required
  • Maintain Monthly Project Status report
  • Involve in other activities that support the development activities of the Group

The Person:

  • Working experience of 3 to 5 years within hotel environment or as consultant to the business in legal, finance or real estate consultant, etc.
  • Diploma or Degree from a recognized hospitality / tertiary institution
  • Possess business analysis experience. Prior development marketing experience would be an advantage
  • Able to communicate in both Mandarin and English
  • Demonstrate strong achievement orientation and is constantly striving for improvement in a disciplined effective manner
  • An effective relationship builder who is able to establish and maintain friendly, reciprocal, and warm relationships and has proven ability to build and keep networks of contacts with people across a range of culture
  • Flexible and adaptive to the changing demands of the business and able to direct changes both internally and externally
  • A strong communicator who is able to carry out presentation in a confident and professional manner
