Director, Global Sales

Based at the Global Sales office in Hong Kong, we are looking for a passionate and energetic individual to join us as Director, Global Sales.

Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Vice President, Global Sales, the incumbent is responsible for managing Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s Global Sales Office in the assigned territory as well as Global Key Accounts.  This role also includes functional liaison and collaboration with the Director of Sales & Marketing and the sales team based in the properties; so as to formulate appropriate regional strategies and action plans at Global Sales Office level.

The Role:

  • Develop & manage a sales portfolio that addresses business needs of the hotels across both Pan Pacific & PARKROYAL brands.
  • Manage all global and regional tradeshows, roadshows and client events with an annual event calendar and represent the company at travel and related industry meetings and trade shows.
  • Collaborate with Area Directors of Sales, Director of Sales & Marketing and their teams to close business and achieve revenue targets.
  • Manage the relationships of our global key accounts which encompass the different segments, Corporate Transient, Groups, Leisure Wholesale, Online Travel Agents, Consortia, Airlines and Alliances (Global Hotel Alliance).
  • Develop and drive outbound business opportunities from assigned territories to hotels globally.
  • Conduct quarterly account reviews with global key accounts with regards to business outlook as well as production. 
  • Synergise and collaborate with the hotels concerned regarding quarterly account review feedback and follow-up action plan. 
  • Establish all goals – financial, competitive and fiscal and a monitoring system for these goals.
  • Take responsibility of the progress of all company wide sales related goals and targets.
  • In charge of the day to day management of the assigned global sales office.
  • Manage cost centre expenses efficiently and with integrity.
  • Participate in any ad-hoc projects that may be assigned by the Vice President, Global Sales.

The Person:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Global Sales role and at least 2 years’ experience as Director of Sales with hotel property.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of market trends and behaviour including political, economic and social issues
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin language.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Possess strong business acumen and ability to analyse data.
  • Able to work independently and under pressure.
  • Able to lead, to provide guidance and to develop team members.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office tools to enable professional completion of reports, presentations and collateral.
  • A strong strategic leader with sound business judgement.
