One of Australia’s most fondly remembered brands,PARKROYAL, has officially re-opened its doors in Sydney today at PARKROYAL Darling Harbour, Sydney
and PARKROYAL Parramatta
It’s a true homecoming, with the first PARKROYAL hotel opening in Australia in 1962. The PARKROYAL portfolio, now owned and operated by Pan Pacific Hotels Group, spans Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and Myanmar – but has not operated in Australia for close to a decade.
“This is the beginning of an aggressive growth plan for this market and we are thrilled to have two exceptional properties to commence our Australian presence,” said Pan Pacific Hotels Group President and CEO, A. Patrick Imbardelli.
“PARKROYAL’s focus is on great hotels with locations that ensure guests have access to everything a city has to offer, so the Darling Harbour and Parramatta locations are a perfect fit and we’re looking forward to them being very successful.”
The 345-room PARKROYAL Darling Harbour, Sydney (rebranded from Crowne Plaza Darling Harbour) enjoys a prime location in Sydney and sits just minutes away from Darling Harbour, the Sydney Convention and Entertainment Centre, George Street, Chinatown and the Queen Victoria Building.
PARKROYAL Parramatta (rebranded from Crowne Plaza Parramatta) boasts 196 rooms in the city centre in the heart of Parramatta’s trendy Church Street, a popular dining and shopping precinct on the banks of Parramatta River.
PARKROYAL hotels offer guests modern comfort combined with uncomplicated and authentic service.
The two Sydney hotels mark the beginning of Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s expansion into Australia, with a third hotel, Pan Pacific Perth (rebranded from Sheraton Perth), opening in January next year.
